Course introduction - Elementary Chinese

Elementary Chinese courses, based on diverse topics of real-life situations, are specially designed for zero basic students, starting from the very beginning with a step-by-step approach, which aims to develop students’ four essential Chinese skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. It’s a personalized course according to students’ individual learning characteristics. With the principle of application and combination of education and entertainment, we are dedicated to making the learning experience delightful, while students could master the Chinese knowledge efficiently and apply it to real-life situations well.

Have Fun with Pinyin

Pinyin will be presented by an abundance of interesting pictures and animations. Then, the teacher will demonstrate the standard pronunciation, and student read aloud after it, followed by fun games to strengthen and consolidate the pronunciation. Through this course, students will be able to master 23 initials, 24 finals, 16 whole syllables, four tones, as well as the Neutral Tone and the Retroflex Final. In addition, students could be proficient in Pinyin pronunciation, and know about 50 daily words, including greetings, fruits, animals, etc.

Happy Chinese for Ethnic Chinese Kids

According to the topics close to daily life, this course provides comprehensive Chinese learning, including expanding vocabulary, correcting pronunciation, practicing grammar, writing Characters, and knowing more about Chinese culture. Adhering to the principle of applying what have learnt into action and combination of education and entertainment, corresponding life scenes will be set up to guide students to apply what they have learnt to the real-life situations so as to significantly improve their conversational ability.

COURSE CONTENT

Schedule:

2-3 lessons/week, 30min/lesson

Content:

The course is based on diverse topics of real-life situations. Firstly, a comprehensive evaluation will be arranged for every learner, and then a personalized learning plan will be customized accordingly to meet the unique learning needs.

Goals:

Be able to speak fluent Chinese and learn some Chinese culture. 

In daily life communication, could understand and communicate without obstacles. 

Be able to describe what they see and express feeling clearly and accurately.
